Viralth vs 1of10
These two are less rivals than they look. 1of10 is a YouTube research tool — finding outlier videos, tracking competitors, spotting formats that are working. Thumbnail generation sits on top of that, and only on their most expensive plan.
Cheapest way in
What supports this: Thumbnail generation appears only on the Pro plan. Their Free and $29 Basic plans list research features and no generation.

Cost per image at best value
What supports this: Pro includes 1,000 AI credits a month, but the page does not say how many a thumbnail costs, and the same pool also pays for titles, ideas and Optimize.

Can you pay once, without a subscription
What supports this: Every generation tier on the page is a recurring subscription; the only non-recurring option is Enterprise, which is quoted on request.

What supports this: Outlier search, competitor tracking, a niche explorer and virality monitoring are their core product. We have none of it and are not trying to.

Where 1of10 is better
Their research is the whole point of them and we have none of it: no outlier search, no competitor tracking, no niche explorer, nothing that tells you what is working in your niche right now. If that is the question you are trying to answer, no thumbnail generator answers it, ours included. They also have a genuinely free plan for the research side, and we no longer give anything away.
Where Viralth is better
Generating the image is our entire product rather than a feature on the top tier, so getting to one costs a few dollars instead of a monthly subscription that starts at the price of two of ours. Their page also does not say how many of its shared AI credits a thumbnail consumes, and those same credits pay for titles, ideas and Optimize, so what you actually get per month is hard to work out before you buy.
Which one to pick
If you want to know which videos are outperforming their channel and why, use 1of10 — we do not compete with that. If you already know what the video is and you need the thumbnail, paying $69 a month for a generator bundled into a research suite is an expensive way to get one.
How these numbers were checked
Every figure about another company comes from a page that company publishes, not from a review site — several roundups list a Pikzels plan that its own pricing page does not have. Each row shows where it came from and the day it was read. A figure older than six months fails our build rather than staying on the page.
